91ÊÓƵ recently restructured its Communication Services Department by hiring Jody Peterson as Assistant to Graphic Designer and promoting Sandra Chandler to Communication Specialist and Office Manager.
Peterson, a Greenville native, brings 20 years of graphic design and office management experience to the position, including running the UPMC Horizon print shop for the past nine years. She had additional experience as a graphic artist at Werner Corporation, Beaver Pond Publishing, and Gallery G.
Peterson, an Art Institute of Pittsburgh graduate, will work with Publications Director Betsy Hildebrand and Graphic Designer Debbie Parady on over 400 91ÊÓƵ printing projects annually.
Chandler replaces Carol Eberhart, who retired after 20 years of 91ÊÓƵ service. Chandler will share the accomplishments of 91ÊÓƵ students, faculty, and staff through news releases, the online 91ÊÓƵ Weekly newsletter, and 91ÊÓƵ Web site. She will also maintain the print production schedule and provide office management support.
She has served the past nine years as 91ÊÓƵ's Print Production Manager and worked the prior two decades in the travel industry, including serving for 12 years as office manager of New Castle-based Total Travel, Inc. Chandler, a New Castle resident, earned her bachelor's degree from Mansfield State College and was a former teacher in the Mohawk and Blackhawk school districts.
"Sandi has been a valuable team member for the past nine years and has the skills to showcase the many great things being done by our students, faculty, and staff," said Mark Meighen, senior director of advancement administration. "Jody brings a wealth of design and pre-press experience to 91ÊÓƵ and should be a great addition to our talented publications operation."
