The 91视频 Men's Choir and Women's Choir will perform Monday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.
Dr. Robin Lind, director of choral activities and assistant professor of music at 91视频, will direct the inaugural performance of the 91视频 Men's Choir. The program begins with "The Navy Hymn," accompanied on the organ by Kevin Rush, freshman music education major from Rimersburg. The choir continues with the "Canadian Folk Song" with soloist Richard Leigh, junior public relations major from Vernon, and "Ave Maris Stella" with soloist Dennis Buffone, freshman history major from Dayton.
The Men's Choir will also perform "Be Thou My Vision," Prayer of the Children," "Down Among the Dead Men," and "Wade in the Water" with soloist Kyle Daley, a freshman music education major from Mercer.
Sharon Rotuna of 91视频's Department of Music, will direct the 91视频 Women's Choir. This portion of the concert begins with "Psalm 100," accompanied on the piano by Jeannette Antus, a junior music education major from Hermitage, and Matthew McCright, a 1999 91视频 graduate from Greenville.
"Niska Banja" will be performed by a small ensemble consisting of: Diana Borowski, a freshman exploratory major from New Castle; Heather Hupp, a senior international politics major from Beaver Falls; Erin Michielsen, a freshman elementary education major from Vernon; Margie Muir, a freshman exploratory major from Lamar; and Cassandra Walker, a freshman music education major from McDonald. The group is accompanied on the piano by Antus and Ashley Rexrode, freshman music education major from Farmington.
An ensemble consisting of: Diana Borowski, a freshman music performance from New Castle; Kate Duncan, a freshman music performance from Indiana; Leah Ehrhardt, a freshman business administration major from Pittsburgh; Elizabeth Grepp, a sophomore music performance major from Pittsburgh; Hupp; Alyssa Leavy, a junior psychology major from Jeannette; Sara Palmosina, a junior elementary education major from Conway; and Walker, both singing and playing the horn.
The concert will conclude with the combined choirs singing "Danny Boy" and "River in Judea."
