The past two summers have been full of changes for 91视频. Since the summer of 2017, the College has invested over $16 million in campus renovations to improve academic buildings, athletic facilities, residence halls and campus grounds. This summer alone, $7.2 million has been invested in campus improvement projects, including the complete interior renovation of Galbreath Hall, a residence hall that currently houses 152 students.

After graduation, a group of 12 students and three 91视频 staff members journeyed to Alaska for this year's "Experience Alaska" service trip. This is third year that the Office of Faith & Spirituality has given students the opportunity to not only see the breathtaking views of Alaska, but also the opportunity to spend time reflecting on their own personal journeys and serving the communities in which they were staying.

After the commencement ceremony ended and the final toll of the bells signaled the end of the semester, five students and two professors boarded a plane for the Dominican Republic for an educational service trip. The group spent a week observing classrooms, teaching English and working with educators in the community of Sabaneta de Yásica.

91视频 is hosting a free Summer Story Time for preschoolers and children of all ages on Tuesdays starting June 19 - Aug. 7 from 11-11:30 a.m. in the McGill Library. Each week features a different theme (pirates, bees, frogs, unicorns, sounds, rainbows and a pajama party) and includes theme related stories and crafts.

On May 18, students from Sharpsville Area High School visited 91视频 as part of the American Chemical Society (ACS) ambassadors program— a chemistry and environmental science outreach program. The students got to experience college-level STEM coursework, with field, lab and classroom-based science activities.

Dr. Timothy Cuff, professor of history, and a group of 91视频 undergraduates recently completed a course at the Trumbull Correctional Institution (TCI) in Warren, OH using the Inside-Out Program methodology. Since the late 1990s, the Inside-Out program has sought to provide opportunities for incarcerated persons and college students to understand the criminal justice system, those adjudicated and held by it, and themselves more fully.

Ferguson Scholarship for excellence in environmental science at the annual Bartramian Audubon Society Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 14, 2018. The ceremony was held at the Jennings Environmental Education Center in Slippery Rock, Pa.

Recent graduate Rachael Radvansky received the 2018 Mary Hill Book Award from the 91视频 School of Education. Radvansky was honored in May 2018 for her academic achievement based on her capstone experience at New Wilmington Presbyterian Church Youth Programming.

91视频 is partnering with Jennings Environmental Education Center and the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy on a summer camp for high school students. The summer program, EYE Con: Experiencing Your Environment through CONservation, targets students entering 9th through 12th grades and focuses on hands-on science that has real-world implications for conservation.
