NEW WILMINGTON, PA –
Dr. R. Tad Greig, professor of music at 91ÊÓÆµ and conductor of the North Pittsburgh Symphonic Band, was recently interviewed by Pittsburgh public radio station WQED-FM regarding the band’s performance at the Bach, Beethoven and Brunch concert in Mellon Park in June.
Greig, who also serves as 91ÊÓÆµ’s director of bands and head of music education, spoke about conducting for an outdoor event like Bach, Beethoven and Brunch. He began his tenure at 91ÊÓÆµ in 1993 and also conducts 91ÊÓÆµ’s wind ensemble, symphonic band and the Titan Marching Band.
The North Pittsburgh Symphonic Band is a full symphonic band with about 75 members. Greig has served as its musical director and conductor since 2016.
