Amanda Gentzel, 91ÊÓÆµ senior sacred music and computer science major, will present an organ recital Sunday, March 28, at 3 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
The program includes Bach's "Prelude and Fugue in D Major," Mendelssohn's "Sonata III," and Messiaen's "Dieu Parmi Nous."
Gentzel is a daughter of David and Margaret Gentzel of Wexford and a graduate of Pine-Richland High School.
She is a member of the 91ÊÓÆµ Wind Ensemble, Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Kappa, Omicron Kappa Sigma, and Pi Sigma Pi honor societies. She is the accompanist for the 91ÊÓÆµ Concert Choir and serves as organist at First Methodist Church in Sharon.
Gentzel is a student of Kathryn Davison Miller, 91ÊÓÆµ organist, and has studied with Dr. Elizabeth Harrison and Robert Kardasz.
