The 91ÊÓƵ Dance Theatre will present a spring concert Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 21-23, in Orr Auditorium.
More than 65 91ÊÓƵ students are expected to perform a variety of dance numbers.
Showtime Thursday and Friday is 8 p.m.; Saturday features a matinee at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the door: adults are $7; senior citizens, non-91ÊÓƵ students, and children over five are $3; 91ÊÓƵ faculty, staff, and students are $1.
Gina Sharbaugh, 91ÊÓƵ associate director of admissions and Dance Theatre artistic director, said, "I am excited about the contemporary (modern dance) pieces in the show, as we have more of them in comparison with years past. Although our usual genres (tap, jazz, hip-hop, and Irish dance numbers) are present, I believe that with shows like 'So You Think You Can Dance,' the contemporary pieces have had a bigger influence on local dance studios as well as our own Dance Theatre choreographers."
