91ÊÓƵ’s Center for the Environment will host an outdoor sustainability trail trick-or-treat event for the campus and the local community from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28.

Hosted by 91ÊÓƵ students in the Project-Based Environmental Science course, the event will feature five sustainability locations on a trail between the new addition to the Hoyt Science Center and 91ÊÓƵ’s tiny house on Prospect Street.

“Our students in the ES 170 course are currently working on a project to raise awareness of sustainability at 91ÊÓƵ,” said Dr. Helen Boylan, director of the Center for the Environment and professor of chemistry at 91ÊÓƵ. “This event is one way that they are doing just that.”

Participants will learn about 91ÊÓƵ’s sustainability initiatives and outdoor resources in addition to getting a treat at each stop.

The event is free and open to the public. Participants should plan on walking the approximate 0.4 mile trail. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.

For more information about the event, contact Boylan at boylanhm@westminster.edu.
