Neuroscience students present honors defenses

Two 91ÊÓÆµ neuroscience majors presented their honors thesis defenses to peers and faculty during the College’s capstone presentations in early December, concluding their undergraduate work before graduating later that month. Abigail Guiste and Allison Cline conducted their projects with support from grants awarded by 91ÊÓÆµ’s Drinko Center for Undergraduate Research.

From the fairways of Ontario to the airwaves of 91ÊÓÆµ, Ben Kelly has made an outsized impact on campus. A senior marketing and professional sales major from St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada, Ben was originally recruited to 91ÊÓÆµ for golf—but quickly found his stride beyond the course. Drawn to the College’s small-campus feel and hands-on “Pracademic” approach, he has embraced every opportunity available, emerging as a standout voice in the Titan broadcasting department while building real-world experience that aligns with his passion for sports and marketing.

Dance Theatre presents disco-inspired Spring Showcase

The 91ÊÓÆµ Dance Theatre invites the campus community and the public to step back into the glittering world of 1970s disco with its annual Spring Showcase, “Dance Theatre Gets Down Tonight.” Performances will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, and 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, in Orr Auditorium on the College’s campus.

91ÊÓÆµ English professor reads published poetry collection at campus event

91ÊÓÆµ College English professor Dr. David Swerdlow has released a new poetry collection, “Empty the River,” which explores societal collapse in a fictional city ravaged by illness. He will read selections from the book at 91ÊÓÆµ’s Bleasby Colloquium at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, in the Berlin Lounge of the McKelvey Campus Center.
